Enhanced Display Performance Features for the A10s Pro Receiving Card

The A10s Pro by NovaStar isn’t just any receiving card; it’s an embodiment of next-generation display engineering. With a capability to support resolutions up to 512×512@60Hz, its performance attributes are vast:

  1. Dynamic Booster:
    • Amplifies display contrast and detail, enriching the visual experience.
    • Optimizes and reduces power consumption for increased efficiency.
  2. Full-Grayscale Calibration:
    • Unique calibration coefficients for each grayscale level ensure consistent brightness and chroma across all levels – from high brightness to low grayscale.
  3. HDR Capabilities:
    • Supports both HDR10 and HLG standards.
    • In conjunction with an HDR-supporting sending card, the system accurately interprets HDR video sources, faithfully replicating the original brightness and color spectrum for a more vivid visual rendition.
  4. Image Booster (requires NovaLCT V5.4.0 or later):
    • Color Management: Transition between color gamuts in real-time for enhanced on-screen color accuracy.
    • Precise Grayscale: Addresses issues like brightness fluctuations and color inconsistencies at lower grayscale levels, and synergizes with advanced display technologies such as 22bit+ and RGB gamma adjustments to deliver a uniform visual experience.
    • 22bit+ Enhancement: Elevates LED display grayscale by 64x, preventing grayscale loss at low brightness, revealing more detail in shadowed areas.
  5. Pixel-Level Calibration:
    • Uses NovaStar’s precise calibration system to refine brightness and color for each pixel, ensuring uniformity in both brightness and chroma.
  6. Instant Line Adjustments:
    • Quickly rectify dark or bright lines that occur due to module or cabinet splicing for an uninterrupted viewing experience.
  7. Low Latency:
    • Reduces video source latency on the receiving end to just one frame (with compatible modules).
  8. 3D Support:
    • In collaboration with a 3D-compatible sending card, the receiving card delivers 3D output.
  9. RGB Gamma Adjustments (requires NovaLCT V5.2.0 or later):
    • Individually fine-tune the gamma for red, green, and blue channels. This aids in correcting any grayscale inconsistencies and white balance deviations, producing a more lifelike image.
  10. 90° Image Rotation:
    • Rotate display images in 90° increments (0°, 90°, 180°, or 270°).

Enhanced Maintenance Features:

  1. Automatic Module Calibration:
    • Replacing an old module? Once the new module with flash memory is set, calibration coefficients are instantly recognized upon powering on.
  2. Efficient Calibration Coefficient Uploading:
    • Speed up the calibration process with rapid coefficient uploads to the receiving cards.
  3. Module Flash Management:
    • Manage data stored in modules equipped with flash memory, including calibration coefficients and module ID.
  4. Instant Calibration Coefficient Application:
    • In the event of Ethernet disconnection, a simple press on the self-test button allows users to upload the module’s memory coefficients to the receiving card.
  5. Cabinet Mapping:
    • Cabinets can showcase the sending card number, Ethernet port number, and receiving card number for easy location and connection identification.
  6. Custom Startup Image Settings:
    • Personalize the display image during startup, Ethernet disconnection, or when there’s no video signal.
  7. Temperature and Voltage Monitoring:
    • Continuously monitor the receiving card’s temperature and voltage without external devices.
  8. Bite Error Detection:
    • Track the communication quality of the Ethernet port on the receiving card, logging erroneous packets to aid in network troubleshooting. (NovaLCT V5.2.0 or later required).
  9. Dual Power Supply Monitoring:
    • If using two power supplies, monitor their operational status seamlessly.
  10. Firmware & Configuration Retrieval:
    • Extract and save both the receiving card firmware program and configuration parameters to your computer for future reference. (NovaLCT V5.2.0 or later required for firmware).
  11. LVDS Transmission (specialized firmware needed):
    • Utilize Low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) for minimized data cable usage, extended transmission range, and enhanced signal quality and electromagnetic compatibility.

Optimize and streamline your maintenance routine with NovaStar’s A10s Pro’s intuitive features, designed for both efficiency and precision.

Enhanced Reliability Features

  1. Dual Card Backup & Monitoring:
    • For high-reliability demands, two receiving cards can be integrated into one hub board. Should the primary card malfunction, the backup seamlessly takes over, ensuring the display remains operational. Monitor the status of both cards using NovaLCT V5.2.0 or later.
  2. Looped Redundancy:
    • The receiving and sending cards are connected in a loop, both through primary and backup channels. In case of any line faults, the display continues to function normally.
  3. Double-layered Configuration Backup:
    • Configuration parameters are simultaneously saved in both the application and factory sections of the receiving card. While users typically access the application section, parameters can be restored from the factory section if needed.
  4. Two-fold Firmware Safeguard:
    • To prevent potential glitches during updates, the receiving card’s application area is pre-stocked with dual copies of the firmware program.
  5. Calibration Coefficient Dual Storage:
    • Calibration coefficients are housed in both the application and factory areas of the receiving card. Although users primarily utilize coefficients from the application area, they can easily restore them from the factory section when required.

With these reliability features in place, NovaStar’s solution is optimized to ensure continuous, hassle-free operation and to provide peace of mind to users.
